Are you passionate about improving processes, driving change, and turning business needs into practical solutions? PIL is looking for a proactive and results-driven Regional Business Process Executive to support process improvement, standardization, and transformation initiatives across the West and South Africa Region (WARO). Based in our regional office in Accra, Ghana, you will work with regional leadership, Business Process Owners, HQ functions, agencies, and external vendors to identify improvement opportunities, implement effective solutions, and drive process excellence across the region.
KEY RESPONSABILITIES:
- Conduct process reviews to identify opportunities for improvement through automation, digitalization, standardization, and best practice sharing.
- Identify and analyse automation opportunities, including robotic process automation and macro-based solutions, and collaborate with technical teams on implementation.
- Partner with Business Process Owners to analyse requirements, design enhancement change requests and implement system solutions that meet business needs.
- Support the documentation of end-to-end business processes and ensure they are clearly communicated and shared with agencies.
- Participate in and lead business process projects, with a current focus on Sales and Customer Service processes.
- Monitor key performance indicators to assess process effectiveness, analyse performance data, and recommend corrective actions where needed.
- Work with Business Process Owners and agency stakeholders to identify opportunities to improve regional processes.
- Develop and deliver training to Business Process Specialists and relevant stakeholders across the agencies.
- Support regional offices with change management initiatives, address employee concerns, and enable a positive transition experience.
- Prepare regular performance updates and reports for regional leadership, highlighting progress, challenges, risks, and improvement opportunities.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Project Management, Operations, or a related field.
- Project management qualification or exposure to methodologies such as PMP, PMI, Agile, or Scrum.
- Lean Six Sigma certification or experience applying continuous improvement methodologies.
- Familiarity with the container shipping industry or a similar logistics, maritime, or transportation environment would be a plus.
- Change management certification or relevant experience supporting business transformation initiatives.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to translate business requirements for technical teams.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to analyze processes, identify gaps, and recommend practical improvement solutions.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams and managing stakeholder expectations in a regional or matrix environment.
- Understanding of process mining and experience using process mining tools would be an advantage.
