Job Responsibilities

Job Summary: As a Senior Trade Executive, the role involves managing cargo flow movement and cargo pricing strategies to ensure vessel utilisation and optimisation alongside supporting pricing strategies to maximise revenue and profitability.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Support ports in achieving outbound/inbound targets and optimize vessel allocation.
  • Monitor and analyze vessel performance, loading factors, daily positions and allocation to take necessary actions.
  • Resolving any operational issues that may arise from commercial perspective.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer developments.
  • Maintain pricing efficiency, costs (BCO, IFF, Tenders etc.) and provide analysis on contribution.
  • Maintain effective relationships with stakeholders, including international freight forwarders and agencies.
  • Assist Trade Manager to perform simple P&L analysis, support feasibility service studies and actively participate in business development initiatives.

Job Requirements

  • Degree in Business or equivalent with 1 year of experience, OR a Diploma with relevant experience in a large shipping firm.
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Team player with the ability to work under tight deadlines.
  • Meticulous and assertive, with the ability to multi-task and work independently.
