Job Summary

The EMD Senior Executive is responsible for end-to-end container equipment management, including inventory monitoring, depot coordination, repair oversight, billing control, and regulatory compliance. The role also covers procurement activities and cost management of landside operations to ensure efficient, cost-effective service delivery.

 

Key Responsibilities

1. Container Inventory & Movement Management

  • Monitor and update container movement (CTM) daily
  • Prepare daily and weekly inventory reports
  • Conduct stock reviews and monitor aging containers
  • Plan and execute empty repositioning and return assignments
  • Ensure accuracy of manual and system tracking

2. Depot & Operational Coordination

  • Coordinate container in/out movements with depots
  • Arrange surveys and rescue operations for laden reefers (as needed)
  • Manage empty container release and return assignments
  • Issue Empty Delivery Orders (DO) in coordination with NDC

3. Repair, Maintenance & Damage Control

  • Review and approve repair estimates
  • Monitor repair status of damaged containers
  • Oversee MnR activities and agreements
  • Monitor and validate container damage billing

4. Billing, Cost Monitoring & Invoice Control

  • Monitor and verify:
    • Detention billing charges and invoice
    • TPB billing and invoices
    • MnR, TRS (Feeder/Trucking), TES Offdock invoices
  • Ensure timely processing and reconciliation of all invoices
  • Support billing generation for D&D, TPB, and service costs

5. Procurement & Landside Cost Management

  • Source, evaluate, and engage service providers for landside operations (trucking, depot, repair, offdock services)
  • Negotiate rates and service terms to ensure cost efficiency and compliance with company guidelines
  • Monitor and control landside operational costs, ensuring alignment with approved budgets and rate agreements
  • Validate and reconcile vendor invoices against agreed tariffs, contracts, and actual services rendered
  • Identify cost optimization opportunities and recommend improvements in procurement and vendor utilization
  • Maintain vendor performance records and support periodic review of service providers

6. Documentation & Compliance

  • Process SPL/PTW applications with BOC and PPA (PHGES, MNL, DCT)
  • File detdem/TPB waiver requests
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and port requirements
  • Attend spot checks as PIL representative when required

7. Agreements & System Monitoring

  • Monitor agreements in LMS:
    • MnR
    • TRS
    • TES
  • Manage EDI errors and auto-clearance processes

8. Lease Management & System Operations

  • Manage container lease tracking and administration
  • Convert MT bookings into Work Orders (WO)
  • Ensure accurate system updates and billing entries
  • Process invoices based on service provider submissions

9. Inventory Control & Safekeeping

  • Maintain and monitor bullet seal inventory
  • Ensure proper documentation and stock control
