We are seeking a motivated Operations Executive to join our dynamic team in the PIL Logistics, Malaysia based in Johor Bahru. This role will ensure efficient and smooth running of warehouse daily operations and optimizing the available for space and manpower, supervision of subordinates, assigning of work and supervision of performance and maintenance discipline in the warehouse, maintain high standard of housekeeping and safety practices and assist superior in ad-hoc duties-charge of General Warehouse Operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Main point of contact to interface with Company’s designated personnel to monitor Contractor’s operational compliance, service quality (e.g. KPI stewardship meetings, issues resolutions) and collaborate on operations optimization and improvement opportunities.
- Develop a safe working environment through enforcement of safety program and conduct site safety briefing as per company safety policy.
- Responsible for warehouse activities and overall operations of the warehouse.
- Execute the agreed KPIs with team members and monitor individual performance.
- Ensure all team members adhere to the agreed SOPs and safe work practices.
- Ensure warehouse layout/storage areas are well organized and material are stored safely controls.
- Inventory management and stock take / cycle counting planning.
- Conduct root cause analysis and develop effective corrective and preventive action.
- Provide periodical reports and data for the next level’s discussion and further improvement plan.
- Required to keep immediate superior updated of all outstanding/resolved.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, change request or new project.
- Participate in internal and external audit.
- Billing and invoicing matters.
- Maintain proper documentation and filling records.
- Perform any other tasks (job-related) as assigned by the immediate superior.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, supplies, vendors, and other external/ internal parties.
- Prepares and reviews monthly operational performance with customers and internal stakeholders.
- Ensure that all team members are certified and trained to perform their respective job roles.
- Review work process to ensure all functions are operating efficiently and effectively; and manage the warehouse productivity, cost and workplace safety.
- Evaluate the performance of assigned personnel and provide training, conduct disciplinary action, and recommend dismissal as required.
- Identify training needs and opportunities to develop a highly skilled functional team.
- Encourage the reporting of safety hazards and participate in safety training initiatives.
- Lead the warehouse team effectively during crisis or emergency cases.
MUST HAVE:
- Minimum Diploma/Degree in Logistics / Supply Chain or relevant
- Minimum 3 years of relevant working experience in similar functions / positions.
- Proficient in MS Office.
- Relevant working experience in Free Trade / Commercial Zon is preferred.
