Job Responsibilities
- Lead a team of 3–5 members and oversee global–regional container management, taking full accountability for approximately USD 150M in annual operating expenses while ensuring alignment with corporate financial targets, strong cost control, and optimal ROI on container assets.
- Management global-regional container inventory, including real time monitoring of balances, utilization rates, dwell times and performance metrics to maintain optimal stock levels and minimize idle/inefficient containers.
- Strategize, plan and direct the distribution of empty containers in the most optimal, cost-efficient and sustainable ways to cover forecasted demand, balance surplus/deficit areas while reducing empty repositioning cost.
- Drive the timely delivery of containers to customers to fulfill loading requirements, maximize vessel utilization and equipment availability and reduced lost opportunities
- Influence and drive multiple stakeholders including HQ operations, trades, regional offices to secure vessel space for empty positioning and direct execution across the global-regional network
- Monitor container demand forecasts, identify variances, and proactively drive stakeholders to improve forecast accuracy and reduce planning errors
- Develop and execute contingency container supply plans to mitigate operating disruptions (e.g., Port congestion, vessel delay, geopolitical events, natural disasters, container shortages), ensuring business continuity and minimizing revenue/cost risk
- Drive analytical insights from container movement data, activity patterns, and performance metrics to shape operating strategies, identify inefficiencies, recommend process enhancements, and deliver measurement improvement in cost, speed, and asset utilization.
- Ownership and enhancement of container management systems with strong innovation mindset to challenge conventional approaches, leverage data analytics, emerging technologies (e.g. advanced forecasting tools, AI driven models) for accurate, real-time tracking and decision support.
Job Requirements
- Education: Degree Holder, University qualification in supply chain, Logistics or equivalent preferred

Experience: A minimum of 10 years’ progressive experience in equipment/container management, logistics operations within the container shipping or liner industry, with at lease 3 years in managerial/leadership role

Proven record of managing large scale container inventory, driving cost reductions and impact revenue through equipment availability
