Job Responsibilities
This role supports consolidation team to oversee and enhance our group consolidation processes, financial reporting and transformational initiatives. This role is pivotal in ensuring the accurate and timely preparation of month-end, quarter-end, and year-end consolidated financial statements in accordance with SFRS and Group requirements, covering multiple groups including:-
- PIL Pte Ltd Group,
- Pacific International Lines (Pte) Ltd Group,
- PIL Logistics Pte Ltd Group
- PIL China Group
- PIL India Group
- PIL Thailand Group
- PIL Marine Group
- PIL Enterprise Group
- MELL Group
- Selatan Marine Group
- And any other Group / reorganisation entities
The Assistant Manager will also be involved in performing the consolidated statement of cash flows, foreign currency translation reserves, revenue reserves, and minority interest proofing. Additionally, the role includes liaising with external auditors, facilitating the annual audit process, preparing financial highlights decks for the Audit Risk Committee and Board, and driving transformational initiatives to improve productivity, accuracy, and governance.
A key focus will be on the implementation of the FCCS project and serving as the FCCS administrator, while also establishing policies and procedures to strengthen internal controls. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical accounting background, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to drive process improvements in a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare with the team month-end, quarter-end, year-end consolidation of the Group financial statements and cash flow statements in accordance with SFRS and Group requirements, covering:

- Pacific International Lines (Pte) Ltd Group
- Review sub-group consolidation work, covering:
- PIL Logistics Pte Ltd Group
- PIL China Group
- PIL India Group
- PIL Thailand Group
- PIL Marine Group
- PIL Enterprise Group
- MELL Group
- Selatan Marine Group
- And any other Group / reorganisation entities
- Perform complex proofing work for foreign currency translation reserves, revenue reserves, associates and minority interest
- Perform
- Ensure timely closing of group consolidation and group statement of cash flow
- Work with managers to liaise with external auditors, oversee and facilitate annual audit process, including preparation of financial statements
- Timely preparation/ review of submission of balance sheet account reconciliations at consolidation level, with appropriate resolution
- Perform data validation for 139 entities in FCCS phase 2 project
- Perform the role as FCCS administrator
- Support and contribute to transformational initiatives to improve productivity, accuracy and governance/internal controls, including recommending improvements and assisting with implementation.
- Handle other ad-hoc matter as assigned
- Support and coach fellow team members (including in GFSU/ SSC) to provide deliverables timely
Job Requirements
- 4-5 years of the relevant experience, ideally a blend of audit firm plus commerce/industry background.
- Chartered Accountant certification
- Strong knowledge of SFRS, with hands-on experience of performing full consolidation of multiple entities including consolidation entries for disposal and addition of new entities within the Group
- Able to perform balance sheet account reconciliations with appropriate resolutions
- Self-motivated and able to work independently, develop good relationships with management and operate well within a team environment.
- Experience with Oracle is preferred.
