Job Responsibilities

  • Trade Strategy: Develop and implement a strong trade strategy by analyzing macroeconomic trends, geopolitical shifts, economic policies.
  • Market Analysis: Conduct in-depth market research to identify trends, assess the competitive landscape, and uncover business opportunities. Maintain a deep understanding of market dynamics to stay ahead.
  • Revenue Management: Oversee pricing and revenue optimization strategies to enhance profitability and market competitiveness. Ensure timely broadcast of MRGs to agents.  
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks related to service operations, including market fluctuations, regulatory changes, and geopolitical uncertainties, and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Cost Management: Collaborate with stakeholders to maintain an optimal cost structure, ensuring efficiency and competitiveness in trade operations.
  • Trade Leadership: Lead teams across HQ, agencies, and the network to drive performance, ensuring alignment, clarity, and effective execution of trade initiatives.
  • Customer Relationship Management: Strengthen relationships with key customers and partners, working closely with commercial teams to manage tender negotiations and long-term partnerships.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Champion the use of data, leveraging insights to support strategic decision-making and operational improvements.
  • Spearheading Product Development for future service expansion to complement IA and other stakeholder needs
  • Conduct schedule reviews to attend rapid market changes & fine-tuning products to ensure company competitive edges, tracking market & rates trend
  • Provide holistic report for Key Management Decision making process
  • Team Culture: Foster a collaborative, engaging, and dynamic team environment that drives motivation, innovation, and shared success.
  • Track performance against established baselines ie projection and budget and explore solutions to catch up on underperforming services
  • Conduct feasibility studies on pricing strategies and trade services, and be involved in business development plan and other trade commercial projects
  • Prepare monthly trade reports, including Container Business Performance Analysis and Contribution Margin performance review
  • Other ad-hoc duties as assigned by the Reporting Manager / HOD

Job Requirements

  • Minimum 12 years of experience in a similar role
  • Teamplayer with strong communication skills
  • Excellent negotiations skills and assertivenes
