This person heads the ideation, development, and execution of transformative digital initiatives across the organization. As a key leader in the Shared Services & Digital Innovation function, this role will be central in shaping the company’s digital roadmap, driving cross-functional innovation projects, and embedding technology-enabled solutions into core business operations. The successful candidate will operate at the intersection of strategy, technology, and operations to help modernize and future-proof the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

Digital Innovation Strategy & Leadership

  • Define and drive the digital innovation strategy in alignment with enterprise objectives and business needs.
  • Lead the discovery and evaluation of emerging technologies (AI, ML, IoT, RPA, data analytics, etc.) that can be applied to core and support functions such as finance, HR, procurement, and operations.
  • Act as a thought leader and internal evangelist for digital transformation within the organization.


Innovation Portfolio Management

  • Oversee the innovation project pipeline, ensuring prioritization of high-impact, scalable initiatives.
  • Establish a clear framework for ideation, prototyping, piloting, and scaling of digital solutions.
  • Monitor performance and value realization across digital projects and ensure continuous alignment with KPIs.


Cross-functional Collaboration & Change Enablement

  • Collaborate closely with internal business units, IT, and external partners to ensure successful integration and adoption of digital solutions.
  • Serve as a key change agent to drive mindset shift, digital fluency, and innovation culture throughout the enterprise.
  • Facilitate agile collaboration environments and innovation workshops to accelerate solution design and co-creation.


Innovation Ecosystem Engagement

  • Build relationships with startups, academic institutions, technology providers, and industry consortia to tap into external innovation networks.
  • Evaluate and manage strategic partnerships and digital platforms that support innovation scaling.


People & Capability Development

  • To set up a high-performing digital innovation team.
  • Foster a culture of experimentation, learning, and entrepreneurial thinking within Shared Services and across business functions.
  • Mentor and coach business stakeholders in innovation methodology and tools (e.g., design thinking, lean experimentation, agile delivery).

MUST HAVE:

  • Bachelor's degree in Technology, Business Management with specialization in Digital Transformation, Strategy, Innovation or Operations Management or a related field.
  • 8 - 10 years of experience
  • Strong track record of successfully driving digital programs in complex, multinational organizations
  • Proven experience in project management, with a focus on executing complex projects within specified timelines.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Well versed with a broad range of technologies (cloud, AI/ML, RPA, data platforms, APIs, low-code) and digital operating models.
  • Familiarity with the container shipping industry is a plus.
