We are looking for a forward-thinking strategic finance partner to lead the financial management of our expanding sister's company, PIL Logistics entity. Based at our Headquarters, this role sits within the Corporate Finance department, offering strong visibility and development opportunities within the broader container shipping business. This person will work very closely with PIL Logistics's Managing Director to drive financial planning, performance management, and commercial support across global logistics entities. You will oversee budgeting, forecasting, and reporting, while supporting key initiatives such as warehouse expansions, 4PL services, and strategic partnerships. The role also plays a critical part in ensuring financial governance, contract compliance, and alignment with group policies.

Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Business Partnering
- Serve as the principal finance advisor to the Logistics Division MD, providing financial insights to support strategic decisions.
- Collaborate with logistics operational leadership to drive profitability, cost efficiency, and performance improvements across global entities.
- Lead and coordinate the annual budget and rolling forecast processes for the logistics business.
- Prepare and review board papers and presentation materials for reporting and approvals.
Financial Planning & Performance Management
- Own the budgeting process for PIL Logistics and its subsidiaries.
- Conduct financial analysis to support business decisions and monitor performance.
- Review financial performance across business units; lead root-cause analysis, action planning, and benchmarking.
- Drive accountability across global subsidiary finance teams to ensure achievement of KPIs and financial targets.
- Manage cost efficiency initiatives and ensure disciplined cost controls aligned with strategic objectives.
Financial Modelling & Commercial Support
- Develop and maintain financial models to support pricing, customer profitability, asset utilization, and investment appraisals.
- Support evaluation of strategic initiatives including warehouse expansions, 4PL services, and partnership models.
- Assess customer credit frameworks, revenue recognition, and margin protection for major deals.
Management Reporting
- Prepare and present timely and accurate management reports to senior leadership.
- Develop and refine existing management report templates to drive better insights
Governance, Contracts & Compliance
- Review key commercial contracts for financial risks and ensure alignment with corporate governance standards.
- Liaise with legal, compliance, and internal audit teams on finance matters related to logistics operations.
- Ensure global subsidiaries comply with Group financial policies and reporting standards.
Cross-Functional & Subsidiary Engagement
- Provide matrix leadership and guidance to finance managers across logistics subsidiaries.
- Coordinate with internal functions including Group Financial Reporting, Treasury, Tax, Payroll/HR, and IT on logistics-related finance matters.
- Promote knowledge sharing and standardization of best practices across global finance teams.
Project Management & Ad-hoc Initiatives
- Lead or support finance-related projects and initiatives as required.
- Handle ad-hoc analysis and reporting requests from senior management.
MUST HAVE:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field;
- CPA/CA qualification required.
- Minimum 8–10 years of relevant experience, with at least 3 years in a senior finance role.
- Prior experience in logistics, supply chain, or shipping industry is strongly preferred.
- Proven track record in financial planning, analysis, and business partnering.
- Experience working in a multinational or matrix organization is advantageous.
