We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Senior Manager, Business Development to join our dynamic team with our sister's company in freight forwarding insdustry, PIL Logistics. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in driving new business opportunities across a range of product areas, including Freight Forwarding, Contract Logistics, and Project Logistics.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Development & Sales:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities in Freight Forwarding, Contract Logistics and Transportation in Singapore.
- Develop and maintain a strong sales pipeline in target sectors (e.g., FMCG, semiconductor, petrol chemical, Industrial).
- Prepare and present proposals, RFQs/RFPs, and pricing models to potential clients.
- Collaborate with operations, solutions, and implementation teams to develop tailored solutions.
- Achieve sales targets set and provide timely sales & marketing strategic information.
Client Relationship Management:
- Establish and maintain long-term relationships with key clients and stakeholders.
- Act as the primary point of contact during the sales process and transition to implementation.
Market Intelligence & Startegy:
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and industry developments.
- Provide input into the company's business strategy and identify growth areas.
Performance & Strategy:
- Generate reports, and track KPIs related to sales performance and business pipeline.
- Identify target customers as sales objectives and update sales pipelines weekly to management team.
Others:
- Ensure all business transactions meet company’s P&L objectives.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the department head.
MUST HAVE:
- Minimum 8 years of proven and relevant BD experience in Freight Forwarding, Contract Logistics & Transportation, with at least of 5 years people management skills.
- Possess good knowledge of logistics industry in Singapore and the region.
- Prior workinf experience in contract negotiations.
- Degree in Supply Chain/ Logistics and / or related field.
- Possess good level of knowledge of MS Office.
