We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Senior Manager, Business Development to join our dynamic team at PIL. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in driving new business opportunities across a range of product areas, including Freight Forwarding, Contract Logistics, and Project Logistics.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Business Development:

  • Proactively identify potential business opportunities through extensive networks and research to secure Requests for Proposal (RFP) and Requests for Quotation (RFQ).
  • Develop new business across all product lines, including Freight Forwarding, Contract Logistics, and Project Logistics.
  • Explore opportunities to cross-sell products to both new and existing clients.

Client Relationship Management:

  • Forge and maintain strong relationships with key contacts in both new and existing accounts.
  • Ensure account retention through excellent customer service.

Strategic Leadership:

  • Strategize and implement new business initiatives to drive growth.
  • Maintain an accurate and robust sales pipeline at all times.
  • Collaborate with solution design teams to enhance business development strategies.
  • Identify and build infrastructure with reliable service providers and freight agents in overseas markets where Pacific International Lines Logistics does not have a presence.

Market Intelligence and Strategy:

  • Use market knowledge and competitor insights to identify the company’s unique selling propositions and differentiators.
  • Gather and share market intelligence to support business strategies.
  • Partner closely with stakeholders to develop proposals, negotiate contracts, and integrate requirements with business operations.

Brand Development:

  • Leverage the company’s branding and professional profile to gain new business opportunities.

 

MUST HAVE:

  • 15+ years of relevant business development experience in international freight forwarding, with at least 10 years of leadership experience.
  • Proven sales track record and an excellent customer network.
  • Strong market knowledge in the freight forwarding industry (ocean and air products).
  • Ability to develop and execute business strategies aligned with company objectives.
  • Experience in leading high-performing teams.
