Job Responsibilities

  • Day to day management of space allocation to ensure that all vessels’ space utilization both headhaul and backhaul is at an optimal target level to maximize profit of trade services
  • Liaise with agents, internal and external stakeholders on all tactical matters, including services reshuffle, vessels’ redeployment plan, phasing in/out option and port change/omissions.
  • Review & coordinate with other division stakeholders to maximize the backhaul sailing full and down with both the laden and empty container
  • Work closely with Agencies in obtaining forecast, pre-loading list, rollover cargo selection, space utilization.
  • Daily Utilization Recap - monitoring of bookings at respective ports, redistribution of allocations if necessary.
  • Monitoring of connections at transshipment Hub to reduce dwell time
  • Proposal & discussion with Cargo Pricing Team (CPT) on schedule recovery, managing of long dwell, cargo mix and low utilization.
  • Monitoring of schedule and follow-up with Ops, Network & CPT on schedule recovery.
  • Close coordination with Logistic Team (EMD) to ensure healthy equipment status at respective IA ports.
  • User Acceptance Test (UAT) for any system changes
  • Highlight underperform POLs to CPT to take pricing and BSA adjustment
  • Services full on weight work with CPT to drive lighter cargo fm alternate origins
  • Other ad-hoc duties as assigned by your supervisor

Job Requirements

  • Degree/Diploma in Business or equivalent with at least 2 years of relevant experience in a large shipping firm
  • Proficient in Excel & PowerPoint
  • Strong analytical, negotiation and communication skills
  • Meticulous, outgoing personality, assertive and ability to work under tight deadlines
  • Able to multi-task and work independently
