Job Responsibilities

Job summary: We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Senior Executive to join the PIL Legal team. This role offers a unique opportunity to develop a strong foundation in legal advisory, contract review and research, while contributing meaningfully to the business.

The Senior Executive will help drive risk-appropriate business decisions by supporting the delivery of timely, easy-to-understand, and commercially focused legal advice. We would like to have someone who is willing to listen to stakeholder needs and be an integral part of a collaborative, growth-oriented environment, contributing to the team’s mission of positively impacting the company’s bottom line.

This is an excellent early-career position for someone passionate about law and eager to learn in a fast-paced, international maritime and trade setting.

Responsibilities:

•    Assist in reviewing and drafting standard legal documents, such as NDAs, service agreements, and internal templates.
•    Support legal counsels in contract management — including amendments, renewals, and finalisation.
•    Conduct legal research and analysis across various jurisdictions, with a focus on maritime, commercial, and regulatory issues.
•    Track and manage deadlines and deliverables for legal projects and transactions.
•    Liaise with internal stakeholders and external legal counsel on legal and administrative matters.
•    Assist in document management, including filing systems, contract databases, and know-how materials.
•    Prepare and maintain legal reports, dashboards, and status trackers as needed.
•    Assist in continuous improvement initiatives, including digitization and process automation within the Legal Department.

Job Requirements

•    Law degree from a recognized university (LLB or equivalent).
•    0–3 years of relevant experience, ideally including junior roles in law firms or in-house legal departments.
•    Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
•    Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and document management tools.
