We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Executive, Finance Transformation to join our dynamic team at Pacific International Lines (PIL). This role plays a critical part in supporting intiatives that enhance the efficiency, transparency, and governance of core finance processes. You will partner closely with key stakeholders across finance and business units to help streamline workflows, assist in transitioning transactional tasks to shared services and contribute to the implementation of automation and digitalisation solutions. This role also helps facilitate structured onboarding, training and people engagement initiatives while supporting the reinforcement of governance and internal control frameworks.

 

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Process Improvement: Assist in documenting, reviewing and streamlining of existing and new work processes to help improve transparency, clarity in individuals’ roles and responsibilities and enhance overall efficiency of these processes. Leveraging data analytics to identify process bottlenecks, drive insights and support decision-making finance transformation projects.
  • Governance and Internal Control: Support coordination with finance business units and assist in reviewing the policies to help ensure proper governance and internal control are put in place. This includes helping to review proposed delegation of authority and preparing documentation for approval.
  • Business Partnering: Support collaboration with Group Financial Reporting & Accounting (GFRA), Business Controlling Department (BCD), and Group Tax (GT) to help identify and improve core finance processes using the Eliminate, Simplify, Standardize, Automate (ESSA) methodology.
  • Job Evaluation: Assist in documenting the existing organizational chart and job description to support accurate evaluation of individual’s job grade.
  • Change Management (People): Assist in the implementation of a structured onboarding program for new HQ finance hires, helping to ensure alignment with organizational culture, compliance, and performance expectations.
  • Curation of Tailored Training Program on Finance: Assist in collaborating with PIL Academy to support the curation and delivery of tailored finance training programs for both Finance and Non-Finance teams across HQ, enhancing financial literacy and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Strategic Initiatives: Actively participate in finance-led strategic initiatives and transformation projects, providing support and offering subject matter expertise and change management guidance as needed.
  • Transition of Tasks to SSC: Support the transition of agreed tasks/activities to SSC per agreed timeline and assist in engaging business units to transit all transactional / administrative tasks (to the extent possible) to SSC. Help to ensure that KPIs are clearly established, monitor the KPIs and escalate issues to Head of Finance Transformation, Head of Business Units and CFO where necessary.
  • Enhance People Engagement: Support the organization of engagement initiatives and events—such as “Conversation with CFO”—to help enhance employee experience, foster open communication, and contribute to building a more connected and inclusive workplace culture within PIL Finance.
  • Automation and Digitization Projects: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support the implementation of automation and digitization projects that drive efficiency and accuracy. 

 

 

MUST HAVE:

 

    • Degree in Data Analytics, Data Science, Finance, Accounting or Business-related disciplines.
    • Basic understanding of finance processes and interest in digital transformation, process improvements, or project management 
    • Minimum 1-3 years of related working experience.
    • Knowledge and experience in data visualisation tools such as PowerBI, and programming languages (Python), Power Apps (power automate, power virtual agents etc) and Generative AI
