We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Executive, Capital Accounting to join our dynamic team at Pacific International Lines (PIL). This role plays a critical role in maintaining and updating the capital asset register, ensuring accurate tagging and monthly verification. You will work with IT support team for the system interface errors arising from RPA fixed assets capitalisation process. 

This will be a 1 year contract position. 

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Maintain and update the capital asset register, ensuring accurate tagging, completeness, and monthly verification.
  • Prepare and execute monthly asset capitalisation, mass additions, transfers, and depreciation.
  • Support quarterly assessment and monthly disposal processes in line with accounting policy.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with the IT support team for the system interface errors and exceptional issues arising from RPA fixed assets capitalisation process.
  • Perform Balance Sheet Reconciliation to ensure accuracy and completeness of fixed assets-related account balances.
  • Reconcile monthly employee expense claims against accounting records to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Provide guidance to staff on claim submission requirements and policy adherence.
  • Support internal and external audits by providing accurate documentation and timely responses.
  • Participate and assist in projects, including system enhancements, business requirement gathering, and user acceptance testing.
  • Perform additional financial responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor to support departmental objectives.

 

 

MUST HAVE:

 

  • Diploma/Degree in Accounting, Commerce Accounting Degree or equivalent with at least 5 years relevant experience in fast pace environment in a large organization.
  • A team player with self-motivation, strong communication skills, and effective collaboration across departments.
  • Able to manage multiple priorities and work independently in a fast pace environment.
  • Possess good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Good knowledge and hands-on experience with Oracle Fusion accounting system is an advantage.
