We are seeking to recruit an Owner’s Representative, Sudan (PIL Sudan & PIL Logistics Sudan) you will play a critical role in driving business growth, expanding our customer base and be part of a team to deliver consistent and high-quality service to the market.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and monitor the appointed agencies for shipping and logistics business segments, ensuring Agents’ good rapport with customers
- Supervision of agents’ key performance indicators, sales/marketing activities ensuring generation of maximum revenues
- Responsible for the profitability and continuous development of the office
- Develop marketing / operational plans, achieve sales and operational objectives set
- Supervise activities related to vessel and land fleet operations/productivity and scheduling as well as cost efficiency for PIL covering the area
- Responsible for managing and developing the Company’s shipping and logistics businesses in the area as well as developing client and agents relationships
- Monitor Port and Terminal development in Sudan
- Monitor and report competitor activities and market intelligence
- Explore opportunities for new business and services, assist in study/analysis for new projects
- Prepare and submit budget, exercise budgetary control for PIL Owner’s office
- Any other business as directed
MUST HAVE:
- Degree in Business Admin, Marketing or Logistics or equivalent level
- 8+ years’ experience in logistics field with demonstrable commercial successes
- Experience operating in challenging environment
- Functional know-how in air/ocean/land transport as well as contract logistics
- Knowledge about market and competitors, about trends and challenges in the industry
- Good strategic planning skills, ability to translate strategy into operational roadmaps
- Extensive skills to coordinate resources, building and using networks
- High result orientations and customer focus
