This role reports directly to the QSSE of PIL Group, will responsible for a fleet of vessels for their implementation of safety, security, environmental, WSH systems include reviews, follow ups, investigations, appraisal of senior officers, and guidance to the fleet, as well as supporting crisis management. This person will also be reporting to also the WSH Chairperson of PIL Group, this person will also coordinates WSH efforts to drive the set agenda.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategical management of inspectorate programme:
- Lead end-to-end safety, security, and environmental compliance for 90+ vessels, ensuring adherence to ISM, ISPS, MLC, ISO, MARPOL regulations and maintenance standards.
- Direct the planning, execution, and follow-up of fleet-wide audits/inspections, including coordination with 4+ overseas auditors and internal teams to identify defects/non-conformities.
- Conduct gap & trends analysis, and recommend measures to enhance performance of the fleet.
- Workplace Safety & Health (WSH):
- Coordinate the implantation of the WSH policy and procedure group-wide.
- Coordinate the group wide WSH audits and follow ups.
- Coordinate WSH initiatives
- Maintenance of Global WSH Online System and follow ups.
- Management of Fleet Group:
- Directly responsible for the implementation of safety, security, environmental and WSH management systems for the fleet group in charge.
- Appraisal of the masters and senior officers
- Conducts of audits, inspections, investigations and follow ups
- Lead safety, security, environmental or WSH projects
- Support crisis management.
MUST HAVE:
- Master Mariner with expertise & qualification in ISM, ISPS, MLC, EMS.
- Prior experience in handling DF vessels.
- Proven track record of maritime audit/ inspections, accident/ incident investigations, crisis management, and driving fleet-wide safety initiatives.
- Proven track record of WSH, ISM, ISO14001 audit of shore offices.
- Possess excellent communication skills
