We are seeking an experienced Manager, Global Cash Management to join our dynamic team at PIL. The successful candidate will be managing the team for our global cash management and be responsible to oversee the efficient mobilization, deployment, and governance of liquidity across our group entities globally. You wil be accountable for optimizing cash yield, ensuring sound risk management, enhancing corporate governance in treasury operations and implement structural solutions.
You will act as a business partner with our internal stakeholders and lead a high performing team to support the group’s strategic and operational finance objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Global Liquidity Management: Overall responsible for centralizing global liquidity from over 65 PIL group entities to HQ in the most efficient manner possible. This includes monitoring and reporting of the minimum cash balances threshold approved by the Board to senior management, designing and making structural process changes / system implementation such as Global Cash Pooling Project to automate this activity.
- Yield Optimization: Optimizing the interest yield for both HQ and global subsidiaries. This includes negotiation with banks on yields, establishing interest optimization schemes and annual budgeting/forecasting of interest income.
- Global Bank Account Management: Oversee and review the group’s bank account management including bank signatory’s matrix. This includes ensuring automated daily cash reporting via MT940 into the Treasury Management System.
- Transition of Transactional Tasks to Shared Service Center: Lead in the transition of transactional tasks and administrative tasks (that do not require any physical engagement with Senior Management in Singapore) to Shared Service Tasks. Establish KPIs for the headcounts in Shared Service Centers and engage with the SSC Treasury Lead to ensure completion of tasks.
- Corporate Governance and Internal Controls: Establish framework, policies, process and procedures for all global liquidity matters including Fixed Deposits Policies, Physical Cash and Cheque Management, Account Opening, Closing policies, system users management etc.
- Risk Management: Manage the liquidity, counterparty risk, cash management risk of the group through integrated assurance framework.
- Global Cash Management Banks Management: Review and recommend for approval on the selection of the Cash Management Banks to CFO / CEO for approval.
- Short Term Cash Flow Projections & Management of Funding Requirements: Oversee and manage the short-term cash flow projections and ensure all funding requirements (in the various currencies) are met.
- Team Leadership: Lead and develop a high-performing corporate finance team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration and excellence.
- Business Partnering and Stakeholder Engagement: To engage business partners such as overseas regional finance controllers, local finance managers, Commercial & Agency Control department, Group Tax and Group Financial Reporting and Accounting.
- Strategic Projects: Lead or a key contributor to strategic organizational projects assigned from time to time including process optimization and automation.
MUST HAVE:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field. A Master’s degree or a professional certification (e.g. CFA, CTP, CPA or CA) is strongly preferred.
- Minimum 7-10 years of experience in corporate bank or corporate treasury with a track record for success.
- Experience in a shipping liner company and Kyriba will be a strong advantage.
