Indoor Sales Executive

 

Essential Functions

 

  1. Focuses on customers who do not need/want to be visited, mainly small potential customers
  2. Has selling responsibility from initial customer contact up until and including RFA creation (handles quotes under standard terms and conditions).
  3. Covers Import and Export customers (activate Push-pull strategy) which are part of his/her portfolio
  4. Perform weekly activity checks to secure loyalty / business continuity
  5. Do regular business developments efforts – increase the number of active accounts managed
  6. Sell basic and Value added services to his/her portfolio
  7. Deliver the agreed number of qualified sales calls per week and declare them in PIL present/future system of record
  8. Conduct sales account planning and performance management
  9. Approach customer through specified Sales channels (e.g., key account management, special cargo, reefer, import)
  10. Directly negotiate Business opportunities with small sized customers
  11. Attends to email/phone enquiries from customers and address customer problems, in collaboration with Customer Service Department
  12. Manage the Sales leads allocated to him/her within the agreed timeframe
  13. Works closely with all departments to assure customers profiles are known and taken care of
  14. Conduct regular joint meetings with Customer Service
  15. Offer Freight and secure shipment with all inquiries
  16. Discuss with Trade Management teams on rate requests
  17. Provide timely feedback for Freight requirement, Market rates and update any situation.
  18. Work towards achieving the overall Agency budget together as part of the country agency team commercial strategy.
  19. Keep record of Sales call / Losing Cargo's report to feedback with Sales Manager
  20. Report market summary by Weekly basic to Sale Manager and Sales team
  21. Generate TH load forecast in each service on every Monday
  22. Submit weekly sales visit planning
  23. Keep update service regulation, Service launching & changing in order to educate customer

     

    Job Requirements, Qualifications & Competencies

    • Education: BSC degree with major in business administration

    • Experience:  2–3 years in indoor sales, customer service, logistics coordination, or a related field (shipping/export industry preferred).
    • Skills & Qualifications:
      • Understanding of shipping line processes, booking flow, documentation, and customer support.
      • Excellent verbal and written communication for handling clients and internal teams.
      • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
      • Strong ability to handle client issues, operational challenges, and negotiation scenarios.
