We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced IA/MELL Trade Manager in PIL China Region. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in leading China sales team to deliver IA and MELL commercial budgets, and coaching and building a strong IA/MELL team with experts of the trades.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver CNRO IA and MELL commercial budgets, including export and import volume targets, IA/MELL OOG and reefer targets2. Strategic and Commercial Oversight
- Expand and optimize IA / MELL customer base to enable a more stable / reliable cargo source to support the growth ambition for IA and MELL trades
- Coach all IA/MELL Sales and UMs (utilization management team) to become more professional in IA/MELL trades: Build up methodology for the team to understand better where are the top target customers, who the main competitors and what strategies/actions are they taking, how PIL is to develop our brand further in IA/MELL market, which are the target market PIL to focus, etc.
- As IA/MELL trade extended arm to manage by-branch BSA with guidance from trade HQ to ensure we fulfil all given CNRO BSA with best cargo
MUST HAVE:
- Industry Experience: At least 3 years relevant experience in container/liner shipping or a related industry.
- Commercial Acumen: Hands-on experience in commercial and sales functions, with a strong focus on driving business growth. Maintains strong and positive relationships with top IA and MELL customers.
- Emerging Markets Exposure: Familiarity with the challenges and opportunities in emerging markets. Demonstrating a deep understanding and rapport with the local business environment.
- Leadership: Strong leadership skills with a hands-on approach to management.
