We are seeking a Finance Manager to oversee all financial operations in Argentina, ensuring compliance with both local and international regulations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for budgeting, financial reporting, and cash flow management, supporting strategic decision-making, and ensuring effective internal controls. This role offers the opportunity to lead a finance team and contribute to PIL’s continued growth in Argentina.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting:
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with Argentine accounting standards and IFRS.
- Ensure timely and accurate submission of financial reports to headquarters and regulatory bodies.
Budgeting and Forecasting:
- Develop and manage annual budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial plans.
- Conduct variance analysis to monitor performance against budgets and financial targets.
Compliance and Internal Controls:
- Ensure compliance with Argentine tax laws, labor regulations, and PIL policies.
- Maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure financial accuracy.
Cash Flow Management:
- Monitor cash flow to meet operational needs and optimize working capital.
- Manage receivables and payables to maintain liquidity and financial health.
Audit and Statutory Reporting:
- Coordinate with external auditors and support internal audit processes to ensure compliance.
- Prepare documentation for tax filings, statutory reporting, and regulatory submissions.
Team Leadership & Development:
- Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team to enhance their skills and performance.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performance team culture.
Stakeholder Management:
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to align financial operations with business objectives.
- Provide strategic financial insights and recommendations to senior leadership.
MUST HAVE:
Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in finance or accounting, with 2+ years in a managerial role.
- Experience working in the shipping, logistics, or related industries is a plus.
- In-depth knowledge of Argentine financial standards and tax regulations.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and financial software.
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting principles.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills for financial modeling and analysis.
Soft Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and ethical standards.
