The Finance Executive will assist to oversee all financial activities within PIL Guatemala, ensuring accurate financial reporting, effective budgeting, and compliance with local and international financial regulations. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong analytical skills and the ability to lead a finance team in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Planning & Analysis
- Develop and manage annual budgets, forecasts, and financial plans.
- Conduct variance analysis and provide actionable insights to senior management.
- Support strategic initiatives through financial modelling and in-depth analysis.
Accounting & Reporting
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with Guatemalan Financial Reporting Standards and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
- Ensure accurate and timely submission of financial reports to internal and external stakeholders.
Compliance & Controls
- Maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets and uphold financial integrity.
- Ensure compliance with local tax laws, labour regulations, and other statutory requirements.
- Coordinate with external auditors and facilitate audit processes.
Cash Flow & Financial Management
- Monitor and manage cash flow to support operational requirements.
- Optimize working capital through effective management of receivables, payables, and inventory.
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Partner with cross-functional teams to align financial strategies with business objectives.
- Present financial performance, trends, and strategic recommendations to senior leadership.
MUST HAVE:
Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in finance or accounting roles.
- Work experience in Guatemala is mandatory, with additional experience in the Latin American region preferred.
- Strong knowledge of Guatemalan Financial Reporting Standards and local tax regulations.
Skills:
- Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
- Expertise in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Effective leadership and team management abilities.
- Fluency in English and Spanish is highly advantageous.
