We are seeking an experienced and dynamic individual to partner with PIL regional offices and agencies to manage container inventory, empty flow and cost in the assigned geographical scope. You will be responsible to supply customers with containers at the most economical level and in compliance with company and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Management of regional container inventory, balances, utilization and dwell time
- Plan and direct distribution of empty containers in the most optimal and cost-effective ways to cover forecasted demand
- Liaise with various stakeholders empty positioning space, quantity and other operating requirements
- Monitor container forecast and work with stakeholders to improve accuracy
- Plan contingency equipment supply
- Perform analytics of container movement and activities to improve operating efficiency
- Manage container cost and other transversal global responsibilities
MUST HAVE:
- Bachelor's degree in Management or equivalent
- Minimum 5 years of experience in at least two of the following areas: equipment management, container newbuilding/leasing procurement or operations management
- Shipping logistics with proficiency in container flow, terminal operations, shipping scheduling and route planning will be preferred

- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong stakeholder managements across various functions and locations, both internal and external parties
- No prior experience in shipping but with keen interest can be considered
