We are seeking a Deputy Regional Finance Manager (MARO) to support the Regional Head of Finance (MARO) in overseeing agencies across the region. You will serve as a strong business partner to the Regional Head of Finance (MARO), while also supporting the Group Finance team in global transformation initiatives and leading local strategy development. You will contribute to building a robust finance organization within the region, one that supports business growth and ensures the quality of all financial information. This position will be based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Performance Management and Analysis

  • Oversee the accuracy and timeliness of financial records maintained by agencies.
  • Monitor financial performance across countries, analyze key metrics, and drive improvement actions.
  • Provide financial analysis and insights to senior management and business stakeholders to support decision-making.
  • Conduct periodic performance reviews of agencies.

Financial Strategy and Planning

  • Lead agencies in developing annual budgets and forecasts.
  • Guide agencies in financial modeling, scenario planning, and investment appraisal to support business decisions.

 

Control and Governance

  • Ensure agencies establish and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard assets and uphold financial integrity.
  • Conduct periodic reviews to assess compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Provide assurance to management and stakeholders on the reliability of financial information and the effectiveness of internal controls.
  • Drive and implement local finance change initiatives, while contributing to global efforts as needed.
  • Liaise effectively with internal and external auditors, facilitating audits and ensuring compliance with audit requirements and recommendations.

Continuous Improvement and Process Standardization

  • Lead initiatives to standardize financial processes and practices across agencies.
  • Analyze business processes and identify areas for improvement.
  • Continuously enhance financial systems, processes, and procedures.

Risk Management and Compliance

  • Identify risks and opportunities for agencies and provide recommendations.
  • Work closely with the HQ Agency Control and Risk Management function to implement a risk management framework across agencies.
  • Provide oversight and guidance to ensure compliance with audit requirements and recommendations.

Treasury and Cash Management

  • Oversee cash management activities in alignment with the principal’s directives.

Tax Planning and Compliance

  • Collaborate with Group Tax to develop tax planning strategies for each country, aligned with the organization’s business objectives.

Team Leadership and Development

  • Develop the Finance Team’s technical competencies in accounting, financial reporting, internal controls, tax and regulatory compliance, as well as communication, teamwork, and management skills.

 

MUST HAVE:

  • Degree or Diploma in Finance, Business, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant regional experience in a global organization.
  • Proven leadership and people management experience, with a track record of guiding and developing high-performing finance teams.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage and influence across all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • Strategic and operational agility - capable of balancing long-term planning with hands-on execution.
