The Deputy Manager, Slot leads Singapore’s slot function, ensuring optimal utilization of space across PIL’s vessels and partners. The role requires close coordination with Trade, Transshipment, Local teams, and Partners to manage forecasts, monitor vessel loading, and resolve shortfalls. Success in this role drives vessel efficiency, cost control, and smooth cargo flow through Singapore.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and coordinate team resources for daily
  • Plan and coordinate resources for daily inbound / outbound operation to ensure efficient and timely operations
  • Manage daily slot planning, partner slot negotiations and last-minute space allocations to optimize vessel utilization
  • Drive process improvements and slot management practices aligned with PIL’s productivity and cost-efficiency goals
  • Mentor and coach team members, ensuring knowledge transfer and delivering strong performance
  • Ensure relevant performance reporting structure is in place

 

MUST HAVE:

  • Diploma or related qualification in Logistic/Transportation, Business Studies, or equivalent.
  • At least 5 years (s) of working experience in the shipping or logistics field
