Key Responsibilities:


Network Optimization

  • Own and manage the network structure, service design and performance of the assigned trade lane.
  • Lead planning and implementation of structural changes, such as port rotations, vessel allocations and schedule optimization.
  • Continuously evaluate service competitiveness and cost efficiency and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Work closely with Trade, Operations, and Procurement team to ensure alignment of network execution.

 

Network Scenario Analysis

  • Develop planning scenarios and conduct performance impact analysis for proposed structural changes.
  • Build business cases inputs from Operations and Trade to support network initiatives, considering operational feasibility, commercial goals and cost implications.
  • Support the network review cycle with clear, data-driven recommendations for decision to be taken.

 

Stakeholder Management

  • Serve as the primary escalation point for network-related issues on the assigned trade lane.
  • Drive resolution of structural and planning conflicts by coordinating with cross-function teams, including, Trade, Operations, Procurement and Finance.
  • Facilitate structured decision-making across internal stake holders and ensure timely communication of network changes.

 

Alliance Management

  • Represent the company in structural discussions with alliance partners and external carriers.
  • Engage in joint planning meetings and service alignment negotiations to manage joint services effectively.
  • Draft and review service agreements, slot exchange agreements and structural documentation in collaboration with relevant internal stakeholders.
  • Ensure that all agreements with alliance partners are aligned with company policy, operational requirements and alliance framework.

 

Project Management and Implementation Support

  • Lead and support the execution of service changes, including vessel phase-in / phase out, change of terminals and revised rotations.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to coordinate smooth implementation and manage project milestones and risks.
  • Monitor and track progress of planning activities to ensure successful delivery.

 

Competition Analysis

  • Conduct ongoing market research and competitor analysis to support trade lane development
  • Monitor industry trends, service deployments and competitive positioning to support strategic initiatives for respective trade lanes.


MUST HAVE:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Maritime Studies, Business, Supply Chain, Logistics or a related field
  • Minimum 5 – 7 years of experience in container shipping, network planning, trade management or a related area
  • Strong understanding of liner shipping network design and alliance dynamics
  • Proven ability to lead initiatives, manage stakeholder alignment, and drive structural decisions in a matrix environment
  • Experience in working with cross-functional teams and external parties in a regional or global context
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and analytical tools
  • Excellent communication skills for both written and verbal
