We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Deputy Manager, Intermodal to join our Logistics team at Pacific International Lines (PIL). This role plays a critical part to manage and oversee our commercial and operational aspects of intermodal for PIL (rail, trucking and barge). You will be part of the team to formulate the intermodal commercial strategies, execution plan and to look into continual process improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and work closely with commercial team to raise awareness, drive interest and increase the conversion of intermodal.
- Promote PIL intermodal strategies and intermodal business development.
- Manage intermodal project progress, haulage pricing review and haulage inquiries.
- Coordinate and liaise with Liner Trade, Procurement team and other stakeholders to review PIL intermodal businesses and activities.
- Tracking and reporting performance of intermodal activities and development areas.
- Achieve given Intermodal KPI.
- Research and analysis of existing and prospective intermodal opportunities.
- Collaborates with relevant stakeholders to proactively identify and resolve issues in timely manners concerning transportation, logistics system or customer issues.
- Responds to intermodal network inquiries.
- Digitalize Intermodal transportation, tracking activities and logistics solution.
- Worked closely with the Head of Intermodal to spearhead Intermodal projects and provide Commercial strategy
- Provide alternative Intermodal solutions to customers
- Other duties or responsibilities as assigned.
MUST HAVE:
- Degree/Diploma in relevant disciplines such as Supply Chain, Logistics, Procurement
- Minimum 6 years of relevant expertise shipping, logistics, pricing, intermodal or related fields
- Experience in promoting and raising awareness to drive and increase conversion of uptake
- Experience in performance tracking
