We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Finance Manager to join our dynamic team at PIL Logistics Malaysia. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing the financial operations of our Malaysia office, ensuring the organization’s financial health and compliance while supporting our strategic goals.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting:

  • Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports in compliance with Malaysia standards and IFRS.
  • Ensure timely and accurate submission of financial reports to headquarters and regulatory bodies.

Budgeting and Forecasting:

  • Support the development of budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial plans.
  • Conduct variance analysis to provide actionable insights on financial performance.

Compliance and Internal Controls:

  • Ensure compliance with Malaysia tax laws, labor regulations, and company policies.
  • Maintain strong internal controls to safeguard company assets and financial integrity.

Accounts Payable & Receivable Management:

  • Monitor receivables and payables to maintain positive cash flow and working capital.
  • Improve processes related to vendor and customer payments for operational efficiency.

Audit and Regulatory Filings:

  • Coordinate with external auditors and support audit activities to ensure timely completion.
  • Prepare documentation for statutory filings and regulatory submissions.

Team Support & Development:

  • Lead, mentor and support junior finance staff to enhance their skills and performance.
  • Collaborate with Operations on ad-hoc financial analysis and strategic initiatives.

 

MUST HAVE:

Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience in finance or accounting, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
  • Experience in the logistics industries is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with Malaysia tax regulations and financial standards.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g. Oracle) and financial software.
  • Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting principles.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

Soft Skills:

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Other Requirements:

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
  • High level of integrity and commitment to ethical practices.
