We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Curriculum Specialist to join our PIL Academy at Pacific International Lines (PIL). You will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and managing learning and development programs to enhance the knowledge and skills of our employees. You will collaborate closely with the Centre Manager of the Academy and various department heads to identify training needs, create effective training solutions, and ensure the professional growth and development of our workforce.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

Training Needs Analysis

  • Collaborate with department heads and HR to identify training needs and skills gaps within the organization.
  • Conduct regular assessments and surveys to gauge the effectiveness of current training programs.

 

 Curriculum Development

  • Design and develop comprehensive training programs and curricula that align with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Create engaging and interactive learning materials, such as e-learning modules, training manuals, and multimedia presentations.

 

Training Delivery

  • Deliver training sessions and workshops in various formats, including in-person, virtual, and on-demand, ensuring high-quality instruction.
  • Monitor and evaluate training sessions for effectiveness and participant engagement.

 

 Learning Technology Integration

  • Stay updated with learning technologies and tools to enhance training effectiveness.
  • Integrate e-learning platforms and tools to provide flexible learning options.

 

 Performance Assessment

  • Develop and implement assessment and evaluation strategies to measure the impact and success of training programs.
  • Use assessment data to make continuous improvements to training initiatives.

 

 Team Collaboration

  • Work closely with other L&D professionals, trainers, and subject matter experts to create a supportive and collaborative learning environment.

 

 Compliance and Reporting

  • Ensure that training programs comply with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Generate reports on training activities, participant feedback, and outcomes for management review.

 

 Resource Management

  • Manage the Academy's resources, including budgets, training facilities, and training materials.

 

 Mentoring and Coaching

  • Provide guidance and coaching to junior L&D staff, ensuring their professional development and growth.

 

 Stakeholder Engagement

  • Foster positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including employees, managers, and external training partners

 

MUST HAVE:

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Training, Human Resources, or a related field. Master's degree preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in L&D, instructional design, or training, Proven experience in designing and delivering effective training programs
  • Knowledge of adult learning principles, instructional design, and e-learning technologies
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Strong project management and organizational skills
  • Proficiency in using LMS (Learning Management System) and e-learning authoring tools
  • Ability to adapt to changing training needs and implement creative solutions.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Certification in instructional design, L&D, or related fields is a plus.
  • Leadership and team management skills
  • Proven experience in designing and delivering effective training programs, previous experience in a leadership or supervisory role is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation and standards
