We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Counter Documentation Officer to join our team at PIL Cameroun. This individual will serve as the primary point of contact for customers seeking documentation support, ensuring the accurate and timely issuance of shipping documents while maintaining high standards of customer service. The ideal candidate will be organized, communicative, and committed to delivering a seamless experience that reflects our company’s values and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Control and issuance of import and export invoices (local charges, demurrage, detention, freight, port charges and extra charges)
- Control and release of delivery orders
- Ensure that the customer experience tracking database is kept up to date.
- Perform all customer service tasks that may result to the agency's development
- Perform all customer service tasks that may contribute to the agency's development
- Respond to customer inquiries via phone, email, and in-person with professionalism and courtesy.
- Provide timely updates on shipment status and documentation readiness.
- Handle complaints and escalate unresolved issues to the appropriate department.
- Assist customers in understanding billing details and resolving discrepancies.
- Coordinate with internal departments to ensure smooth documentation flow and customer satisfaction.
MUST HAVE:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in customer service or documentation and ideally in the shipping/logistics sector.
- Familiarity with import/export procedures and invoicing.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks.
- Customer-oriented mindset with problem-solving abilities.
- Discretion and professionalism in handling sensitive information.
- Team spirit and adaptability.
