We are seeking a highly organized and efficient Logistics Equipment Manager  to join our dynamic team at PIL México en DF. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the smooth coordination and execution of depot activities across the country.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Country team/staff management, i.e. staff assessment, appraisal, development, etc.Address agency level KPI, cost & performance
  • Maintain container inventory vs target (2 set exports ideally) in the country for all equipment size types
  • Ensure CTM performance, reduce manual amendments, reduce inaccurate moves, user access, secure correct functioning of EDI
  • Consolidate country  level stock projection from each area under agency purview
  • Liaise with commercial to obtain volume forecast & track forecast accuracy
  • Suggest, develop and execute repo/on/offhire/sale/oneway plans, etc and work with RO and HQ where required.
  • Work with RO EMD to target >100% full vsl via emtpy repo.
  • Develop and execute startegies to manage FIFO and overdue country or location (empty + laden)
  • Ensure work with GLSU on query and update overdue in system; identify reasons & take action
  • Organise physical check at least once a year (random check and focus on long dwell)
  • Execute MNR plan & repair policy based on eqpt needs, vendor capabilities; in alignment with RO
  • Monitor MNR performance by supplier, equipment type and activity; and take actions to manage expense
  • Depot assessment and audit, i.e. safety, compliance and cost control
  • Maximise MNR recovery, i.e. set up & execute plan, monitor performance (lump sum, insurance, depot collection, etc.)
  • Manage cold chain process & special cargo process (incl. container preparation) in conjunction with RO + support customers
  • Manage local contract landscape with RO, i.e. monitor contract expiry, propose category strategy, plan, risk mgmt, etc.
  • Manage and build relationship with suppliers and communicate supplier landscape & market intelligence
  • Procurement of ad hoc services based on agreed model with RO and HQ.
  • Propose and Implement formal supplier performance assesment (KPI & SLA)
  • Monitor and implement adequate flow-share agreed with RO.
  • Market benchmarking on rates, service level and alternatives
  • Supplier onboarding, including set up agreement, EDI, LMS tariff, etc.
  • Control and analyze country cost
  • Manage efficiency project , i.e. target setting, alignment with RO and drive BU to achieve the required targets.
  • Digitalization, i.e. push container reuse/triangulation, charge customer and rcommend platforms where adequate.

 

MUST HAVE
•    Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
•    Experience in Depot Management, maintenance and repair of containers.
•    Working knowledge of refrigerated cargo requirements across Latam Market (CA, CT, others)
•    Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
•    Proficiency in logistics software and MS Office Suite.
•    Working knowledge of English Language.
