The Intermodal & Vessel Operations Executive is responsible for the end‑to‑end coordination of inland container movements and port‑side vessel operations across Chile. The role ensures continuity, reliability, and cost‑efficient logistics performance throughout the full chain (from vessel berthing to inland delivery), it is not an administrative role. The Intermodal & Vessel Operations Executive is expected to own the operation, understand the underlying cost and productivity drivers, and continuously enhance the efficiency, punctuality, and financial performance of container flows.

- Coordinate and manage intermodal container flows across Chile, including trucking, rail interfaces where applicable, depots, and inland destinations.
- Optimise routing, capacity allocation, and cost efficiency across the inland network.
- Monitor intermodal KPIs such as dwell times, equipment turnaround, truck reliability, and cost-per-leg.
- Identify bottlenecks and implement corrective actions to maintain service reliability.
- Liaise closely with trucking companies, depots, and internal stakeholders to ensure seamless container movements.
2. Vessel Operations
- Oversee container vessel port calls at Chilean terminals, ensuring efficient berth operations and minimised turnaround time.
- Coordinate with terminals, port authorities, vessel agents, and stevedores.
- Monitor operational productivity (GMPH, crane intensity, berth window adherence) and react swiftly to operational contingencies.
- Identify risks such as congestion, weather impacts, or labour constraints and implement mitigation actions.
3. Data Analysis & Performance Management
- Track, analyse, and report KPIs related to intermodal flows, port productivity, and vessel operations.
- Use operational data to identify inefficiencies, cost drivers, and improvement opportunities.
- Prepare structured performance reports for management and support data‑driven decision‑making.
- Manage cost control elements, including inland transport, port charges, and equipment flows.
4. Coordination, Compliance & Documentation
- Ensure all operations comply with internal standards, safety requirements, and local regulations.
- Maintain accurate operational records, vessel call documentation, and transport movement logs.
- Act as a high‑quality operational interface between local teams and regional or head‑office functions.
