We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Manager, Logistics (Togo) to join our dynamic team at PIL. This role requires a proactive and customer-oriented individual with strong communication skills and a deep understanding of the shipping industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop tailored logistics solutions to meet client needs and requirements.
- Build coherent business cases for new commercial products and initiatives, and promote these internally in order to develop the business.
- Maintain relationships with existing clients and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Proactively identify, pursue and maintain a constant pipeline of potential leads, and develop a diverse portfolio of customers
- Collaborate with other teams in PIL to ensure service delivery meets client expectations.
- Prepare estimates and respond to tenders/RFQ
- Take the lead in negotiating and closing deals by uncovering and addressing objections/ concerns from the customer.
- Work in a blended role of operations and sales, in a collaborative office environment.
- Manage complex transactional or emotional customer situations promptly.
MUST HAVE:

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field preferred.

Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

Minimum of 5 years’ experience within the logistics sector, shipping, or trucking industry, preferably in Sales or Business Development

Minimum of 2 years sales experience with a proven track record in generating profitable revenue growth

Knowledge of logistics and supply chain management principles.

Ability to work independently and under pressure while representing the company in a professional manner.
