Business Data Analyst, Group Commercial Agency Management

Job summary: We seek a Business Data Analyst to join our dynamic team at PIL and help drive data-informed business decisions. This role sits at the intersection of data analysis and business strategy where you will gather and interpret data, provide actionable insights, and collaborate with stakeholders to optimize performance across the departments and agent network.

What You'll Do:

• Analyze business processes and performance using structured and unstructured data
• Create and maintain data processing pipelines to facilitate business intelligence tasks
• Collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders to gather requirements and define key business metrics
• Extract, clean, and analyze data from multiple sources using analytical tools, and SQL
• Build and maintain interactive and visually appealing reports, dashboards, with KPIs using tools like Power BI and Tableau
• Translate business questions into analytical problems, develop use cases, and present clear, actionable data-driven insights
• Monitor trends and generate forecasts or business performance models
• Support strategic initiatives with ad hoc reports, analysis and decision support
• Any other ad-hoc duties as assigned
   

What You'll Need:

• Degree in Business, Data Science, Economics, Statistics, or related field
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a data-focused or business analytics role, preferably in the container shipping, logistics, or related Industries
• Advanced understanding of Microsoft Purview for data governance, protection, and management
• Proficient in Microsoft Power BI, with an advanced understanding of Power Query and DAX
• Understanding in SQL and using Python for data cleaning and analysis
• Solid understanding of business metrics, KPIs, and basic statistical concepts
• Preferred Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate
