We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sales Support to join our dynamic team at PIL. He/ she would handle customers contracts and be a focal point for sales subject to all other departments directing peripheral sales activities to the appropriate person. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in driving revenue growth by acquiring new customers, maintaining existing relationships, and expanding the company’s market share in the shipping and logistics industry.
Key Responsibilities;
Assist the sales department by
- Issue daily quotations according to the strategy developed per commodity
- Handle all quotations related to AMRG and provide market feedback
- File rates on Customer Contracts, according to Sales Execution instructions
- Contract amendments and maintenance
- File free time negotiation
- Prospecting / attracting new customers
- Follow up customers’ performance against committed volume
- Push for additional cargo
- Handle Exceptions related to freight or free time issues
- Liaise with internal departments to resolve customer grievances
- Investigate rate issues and disputes claimed by customers
- Assist staff with problem solving and interpretation of tariff rates and rules
Qualifications & Experience
- 3-5 years of experience in regional recruitment, ideally in logistics, maritime, or supply chain industries.
- Strong knowledge of Latin American labor markets and familiarity with Asian recruitment practices (preferred).
- Experience recruiting for operations, commercial, and technical roles within a global organization.
- Fluency in Spanish and English is required (MIUST); Portuguese is a strong plus.
- Proficiency in applicant tracking systems (ATS), LinkedIn Recruiter, and recruitment analytics tools.
- Experience in managing multiple roles across different time zones and markets.
- Strong interpersonal skills, stakeholder management, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, multicultural environment.
MUST HAVE:
- Experience in customer service within the shipping or logistics industry.
- Proven experience in sales, preferably in the shipping, logistics, or transportation industry.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and CRM software.
- Essential for dealing with international clients and understanding technical documents. Preferably B1, B2, or higher level in Speaking, Listening & Reading.
