We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Owner's Representative to join our dynamic team in Dili, Timor-Leste. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role to drive revenue growth and expand market share.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • To oversee and monitor the appointed agency for shipping business, ensuring Agents’ good rapport with customers
  • To supervise agents’ key performance indicators, sales/marketing activities ensuring generation of maximum revenues
  • Responsible for the profitability and continuous development of the office
  • To develop marketing / operational plans, achieve sales and operational objectives set
  • Key Clients Management: Engagement and freight negotiation,    
  • Supervise activities related to vessel and land fleet operations/productivity and scheduling as well as cost efficiency for MELL covering the area
  • Responsible for managing and developing the Company’s shipping businesses in the area as well as developing client and agents relationships
  • Monitor Port and Terminal development in Timor Leste
  • Monitor and report competitor activities and market intelligence
  • Explore opportunities for new business and services, assist in study/analysis for new projects
  • Prepare and submit budget, exercise budgetary control for MELL Owner’s office
  • Any other business as directed

 

MUST HAVE:

  • Education:
    A bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, commerce, or a related field.
  • Industry Experience:
    5 to 10 years of experience in trade, sales, and marketing within the container shipping, logistics, or liner industry.
  • Customer Relationship Expertise:
    Proven experience in managing customer relationships, with knowledge of port operations and equipment management.
  • Leadership Experience:
    Strong leadership abilities with experience in leading cross-functional teams and driving performance.
