We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Manager, Group Commercial & Agency Management for the Oceania & SEA region to join our dynamic team at PIL. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing shipping agencies within PIL’s regional agency network and assisting in shipping-related investment projects in key markets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Regional Management: Manage a portfolio of countries in the Oceania & SEA region, focusing on agency corporate governance, performance management, and commercial activities.
- Agency Setups: Lead and execute agency setups in countries within Oceania & SEA, ensuring compliance with local regulations and PIL’s corporate standards.
- Performance Enhancement: Drive agency performance including productivity, cost-effectiveness, and local revenue enhancement in alignment with established KPIs.
- Stakeholder Coordination: Coordinate with Business Units/stakeholders to implement actions that elevate agency performance within the region.
- Financial Oversight: Work closely with the Agency Finance Controller on financial matters, including budget execution, operating expenses, and dividend declarations.
- Strategic Initiatives: Lead transformation initiatives and contribute to strategic planning discussions to drive continuous efficiency improvements within the region.
- Analytical Support: Provide research, financial, and analytical support for business decisions, strategic initiatives, and project execution in Oceania & SEA.
- Partnership Management: Manage relationships and communications with local partners on corporate matters to ensure good governance and sustainable partnerships.
MUST HAVE:
- At least 2 years of experience in corporate management, preferably in container shipping.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects and drive performance improvements.
