This role is responsible for overseeing and managing global container sales, interchange, one way and sublease operations within PIL. Your role will involve coordinating with internal teams, shipping lines, suppliers, buyers, to ensure timely and efficient container sales, exchanges to maximize cost efficiency while maintaining high standards of safety and compliance.

 


Key Responsibilities

 

  • Plan for annual interchange, one-way, sale and disposal targets
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with shipping lines, buyers and service providers
  • Source, negotiate, secure interchange, one-way container supply and container buyers
  • Draft, negotiate contracts and manage them in accordance with company policies
  • Coordinate with regional offices and global agencies to drive interchange, one-way and sales performance
  • Manage operational issues (Disputes like locations issue, container got damages) relating to container pick up, off-hire delivery and dispute resolution 
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and monitor performance against set targets.

 

 

MUST HAVE:

 

  • Diploma / Bachelor’s degree in Management or equivalent 
  • Minimum 3+ years of relevant experience in equipment management, container newbuilding, procurement or container trading / sales
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and negotiation skills 
  • Strong knowledge of container interchange, one-way, sale and disposal 
  • Familiarity with container tracking systems, inventory management system
  • Procurement skills to negotiate contracts wiht other carriers, suppliers or buyers
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
