We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Manager, Consolidation to join our dynamic team at Pacific International Lines (PIL). This role plays a critical role in supporting the team to enhance our group consolidation processes, financial reporting and transformation initiatives. You will ensure accurate and timely preparation of month-end, quarter-end, and year-end consolidated financial statements in accordance with SFRS and Group requirements covering multiple groups within PIL. You will also be supporting the implemtnation of FCCS project, serving as FCCS administrator while establishing policies and procedures to strengthen internal controls.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Prepare with the team month-end, quarter-end, year-end consolidation of the Group financial statements and cash flow statements in accordance with SFRS and Group requirements, covering:
    • PIL Pte Ltd Group
    • Pacific International Lines (Pte) Ltd Group
  • Perform sub-group consolidation work where needed, covering:
    • PIL Logistics Pte Ltd Group
    • PIL China Group
    • PIL India Group
    • PIL Thailand Group
    • PIL Marine Group
    • PIL Enterprise Group
    • MELL Group
    • Selatan Marine Group
    • And any other Group / reorganisation entities
  • Perform proofing work for foreign currency translation reserves, revenue reserves and minority interest
  • Ensure timely closing of group consolidation and group statement of cash flow
  • Work with managers to liaise with external auditors, oversee and facilitate annual audit process, including preparation of financial statements
  • Timely preparation/ review of submission of balance sheet account reconciliations at consolidation level, with appropriate resolution
  • Perform the role as FCCS administrator
  • Drive transformational initiatives to improve productivity, accuracy and governance/internal controls.
  • Handle other ad-hoc matter as assigned

 

MUST HAVE:

 

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business-related disciplines, preferably with a CPA/CA
  • Minimum 4 years of relevant experience, with a blend of audit consulting firm and commercial experience
  • Strong understanding and kept abreast of financial and accounting reporting standards (SFRS), as well as regulatory changes
  • Hands-on experience in performing full consolidation of multiple entities including consolidation entries for disposal and addition of new entities within the Group
  • Able to perform balance sheet account reconciliations with appropriate resolutions
  • Experience with Oracle is preferred
