We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant/Manager, Business Development to join our dynamic team at PIL. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in driving business growth and expansion within the logistics sector, with a specific focus on freight forwarding.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Development:
- Identify, evaluate, and pursue new business opportunities within the logistics sector, focusing on both local and international markets.
- Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve revenue and growth targets.
- Monitor industry trends and competitor activities to identify potential growth areas.
Client Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients.
- Work closely with clients to understand their needs and offer tailored logistics solutions.
- Ensure customer satisfaction through continuous engagement and exceptional service delivery.
Market Expansion:
- Lead the exploration and penetration of new markets, particularly in emerging regions where PIL Logistics can establish a strong presence.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and launch new products and services.
Entrepreneurial Initiatives:
- Innovate and drive business initiatives that enhance the company’s competitive edge.
- Identify and mitigate risks while maximizing opportunities for business growth.
- Foster a culture of entrepreneurship within the team, encouraging creative problem-solving and agile decision-making.
Operational Involvement:
- Work closely with the operations team to ensure the seamless execution of business development strategies.
- Participate in the planning and management of projects to ensure they align with business objectives.
MUST HAVE:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Logistics, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in business development, sales, or related roles within the logistics or supply chain industry.
- Experience in freight forwarding is essential.
- Proven track record of growing a business or division with an entrepreneurial mindset.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
