We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced AP & AR Executive (Myanmar) to join our dynamic at PIL. The successful candidate will be instrumental in managing the Accounts Receivable and Payable processes, ensuring timely collections, maintaining accurate financial records, and supporting overall cash flow optimization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Issue accurate and timely invoices and receipts to customers.
- Monitor accounts receivable aging and follow up on overdue payments.
- Resolve billing discrepancies and ensure proper documentation.
- Reconcile AR sub-ledger with the general ledger and verify exchange rates.
- Update unbilled item reports and follow up accordingly.
- Collect and verify shipping manifests and perform reconciliation checks.
- Process vendor invoices and ensure timely payments in line with agreed terms.
- Match invoices with purchase orders and delivery receipts.
- Respond to vendor inquiries and resolve payment discrepancies.
- Prepare AR and AP aging reports to monitor outstanding balances and trends.
- Generate and distribute customer account statements with accurate transaction details.
- Support month-end closing activities and assist in preparing financial reports.
- Provide analysis and insights into receivables and payables performance.
- Assist in commission processing and follow-up.
MUST HAVE:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
- Minimum of 2–3 years of experience in accounts receivable and payable functions, preferably within the logistics, shipping, or trading industry
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial processes
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Experience in reconciliation, financial reporting, and month-end closing is an advantage
